The Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture and Design presents an internationally known exhibit, "Export: Spanish Architecture Abroad." Organizing the contents in six possible ways to practice architecture today, and complemented by the intervention of external agents, this exhibition offers a richer and original view of Spanish architecture abroad.

Diversity 101 Workshop

What does diversity even mean, and why does it matter? This workshop will discuss the meaning of diversity and explore the multiple diversities that exist. Participants will also identify the relevance of their own cultural identities and leave with an enhanced understanding of how to embrace diversity in order to work more effectively across difference.

Commemorating Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., on the 50th Anniversary of His Death

On April 4, 1968, an assassin took the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the most prominent civil rights leader of the 20th century. In remembrance of Dr. King’s life and work, Dr. Antonio D. Tillis will commemorate the acclaimed civil rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize recipient on the 50th anniversary of his death. Rev. Dr. William A. Lawson, Founding Pastor Emeritus of Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church, will join to reflect on the civil rights movement and his personal relationship and journey with Dr. King.
