HPAC Orientation

Join Pre-Health Advising to review the HPAC (Health Professions Advisory Committee) process from start to finish. HPAC is a committee of UH professors that serve as a review board for students applying to medical and dental school, and provide application feedback as well as a ranking for our students. If you are planning to apply for medical or dental school in Spring 2023 (starting medical or dental school in Fall 2024), it is recommended you utilize HPAC. In order to utilize HPAC, you must attend one of the HPAC Orientations.

HPAC Personal Statement Orientation

The HPAC Personal Statement Orientation is designed to help our pre-medical and pre-dental students develop strong personal statements that showcase their desire to join their respective profession and highlight their experiences. The orientation will include a presentation as well as a group discussion to help answer questions and develop ideas for your personal statement.

Students who wish to go through HPAC evaluation in Spring 2023 must attend one HPAC Orientation, one HPAC Personal Statement Orientation, and one HPAC Personal Statement Workshop. Please be sure to sign up for one of each event, and sign in when you attend to receive credit.
