POWER UP Hosting Stress Less Seminar for Faculty and Staff

Houston, April 19, 2018 - The University of Houston's POWER UP Employee Wellness program will host a stress management workshop for faculty and staff on Thursday, April 26.

The Stress Less Seminar will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Elizabeth. D. Rockwell Pavilion on the second floor of the M.D. Anderson Library. It will be led by Dr. Jerry Evans of J.S. Evans Consulting, who will discuss how to identify individual stress factors and demonstrate various relaxation exercises to help reduce stress and improve overall quality of life.

The free session is open to all UH employees. Healthy snacks will be provided. To attend, employees must register for the session.

April is National Stress Awareness Month, a reminder to pause and reflect on how stress may be affecting job performance, relationships and health, and to develop coping strategies to manage it effectively.
