Starbucks to Celebrate Earth Day

Campus Starbucks to Celebrate Earth Day

Houston, March 16, 2017 — Starbucks will celebrate Earth Day on April 22 by giving away a free reusable cup and lid with any beverage purchase while supplies last.

Guests will receive a free Starbucks reusable cup with lid with the purchase of any handcrafted beverage, including brewed coffee. To reduce waste, Starbucks encourages customers to bring their reusable cups back for 10 cents off future beverages.

Starbucks began its reusable cup initiative in 2013 to reduce waste. The cup, normally $2, is just one way the company has driven waste reduction. In addition, Starbucks offers a 10 cent discount to any guest who brings their own cup, as well as uses cups made of 10 percent post-consumer recycled paper. Starbucks continuously looks for new ways to grow its sustainability efforts.
