Human Resources to Host 'Retirement @ Work' Luncheons

Houston, April 11, 2017 —The University of Houston Human Resources department will host two kick-off luncheons introducing employees to the UH System's improved retirement savings portal, "Retirement @ Work."

Both luncheons will take place at noon on April 17 and April 19 in the Kiva Room (Room 101) in Farish Hall. At the luncheons, representatives from UH and the four key UHS Retirement Savings Plan vendors - TIAA, Fidelity, VALIC and Voya - will explain how employees can enroll, maintain and manage their retirement savings plans using the "Retirement @ Work" online portal. These sessions are free to UH employees, and food will be provided. To attend, please register by completing the online Google form.

Immediately following both luncheons, TIAA, Fidelity, VALIC and Voya will be on hand to answer questions and provide more information about their retirement investment services at a vendor fair. These vendor fairs will each take place from 1 to 2 p.m. also in the Kiva Room.

"Retirement @ Work" is an online portal that allows UH System employees a simplified, more interactive experience in managing their retirement savings plans. It's a one-stop shop where employees can review and update their contribution amounts and investment choices, and take advantage of calculators and other tools to help create a personalized retirement plan to fit their needs. The portal is scheduled to go live April 25 and will be accessible via the UH Human Resources benefits page.

For more information about retirement and other UH employee benefits, contact the HR Service Center at 713-743-3988, or visit the benefits page on the Human Resources website.
