UH Dining Hosts Six Lucky Students at Astros Game

Houston, April 19, 2017 — Six University of Houston students enjoyed a Houston Astros game in a suite hosted by UH Dining Services.

The students, each of whom were allowed to bring a guest, attended the April 17 game against the Los Angeles Angels at Minute Maid Park, which the Astros won.

During the "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" themed meal, held April 3 at both campus dining halls, students had the opportunity to enter their names into a drawing for the suite tickets.

"We wanted to give these students an experience that would stay with them for a lifetime," said Nick Mendez, UH Dining Resident District Manager. "It was our pleasure to host and bring together the students for a great Houston pastime."

A barbecue dinner was served inside the suite followed by an ice cream dessert in a keepsake Astros mini helmet that was full of favorite sweet treats and goodies.
