Campus Parking During the Thursday Game Day

By: Bob Browandridemetro

On Thursday, Oct. 19, people will be flooding the UH campus to watch the Cougars take on Memphis in TDECU Stadium.

Campus roads, parking lots and garages will be affected, starting at midnight before the game. This means that regardless of whether or not you plan to go to the game, you will still need to understand the parking and transportation impacts for that day and have a plan for getting to campus.

Want to make coming to campus this Thursday as hassle-free as possible? We strongly encourage you to consider one of the following options instead of driving by yourself to campus that day:

  1. Ride METRORail for free with a student, faculty or staff Cougar Card
  2. Ride METRO buses for free with a student Cougar Card, and consider one of our suggested park and ride locations
  3. Carpool with your fellow Coogs
  4. Park at ERP and ride the shuttle, as ERP shuttle hours are extended that day
  5. Use a ride-sharing service

Even though these options will help lessen the stress of getting to campus that day, keep in mind that there will still be increased traffic and plan to leave early.
