The Cougar Card is the official campus access card. The Cougar Card integrates a number of functions for daily usage on campus, including the ability to print documents, buy snacks at the campus convenience stores, vending machines, purchase meals, gain access to academic or administrative buildings and rooms, athletic events, special events, both on-and off–campus residential housing and the recreation and wellness center.
You have the option to upload your photo online by logging on to your AccessUH account and selecting the “My Photo” icon, or visit the Cougar Card Office, Suite 151 to take your photo Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm.
No. There is no cost to you.
The photo must be at a typical setting of 300dpi (dots per inch) to print at high quality.
The file format must be JPEG.
You will receive an email notification of successful transmittal. Next you will receive an additional email indicating whether your photo has been approved or denied. If your photo was denied, you will have the opportunity to upload your photo again with suggested directives.
Please allow 7-10 business days after confirmation of your approval email before coming to the Cougar Card Office to pick up your new Cougar Card.
A valid government-issued identification: US or Foreign Passport/Visa, US Driver’s License, US State or Federal-issued ID, US Military Card, Permanent Resident Card, Birth Certificate, or Social Security Card.
We do not mail out Cougar Cards. However, you may pick up your Card at the Cougar Card Office, Suite 151, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.
Your card should be activated immediately after printing for all applicable privileges. Please allow 30 minutes for individual access privileges.
The Cougar Card offers a variety of privileges such as; active enrollment, meal plans, Cougar Cash, ShastaBUCKS, Printing Accounts, Library Services, and Building Access.
Immediately deactivate your Cougar Card by logging on to AccessUH and select the Cougar Card Online icon. Select Account, Deactivate Card then click Confirm. You can visit the Cougar Card Office during regular business hours, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm to replace your Cougar Card.
If you report your card lost or stolen after normal business hours and need your card privileges right away, you can request a temporary card by visiting UHPD. The temporary card expires the following business day, so be sure to visit the Cougar Card office as soon as it opens to receive your permanent Cougar Card replacement. There will be an additional fee if you do not turn in your temporary card.
Yes. There is a $20.00 replacement fee for lost or stolen cards. This charge can be paid in the Cougar Card Office with cash or credit card at the time of re-issuance. The Cougar Card Office accepts all major credit cards. You may visit the Cougar Card website email@example.com for a full list of service fees for replacement cards.
Cards no longer working due to damage from normal wear and tear or extended age that effects the usefulness or normal functions are considered as damage or worn. There is no replacement fee if the current card is given to the Cougar Card Office in exchange for the replacement card. If the damaged card is due to neglect or intentionally placing holes in the card, the cardholder will be charged for the current replacement cost. You can visit the Cougar Card Office during regular business hours, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm to replace your Cougar Card.

You may update your personal information in PeopleSoft. There is no replacement fee if the current card is given to the Cougar Card Office in exchange for the replacement card.
Faculty and staff are required to update their preferred names through the AccessUH, via the PASS system. Students are required to update their preferred name through AccessUH, via MyUH. The preferred name option is listed under Personal Information.
At this time, the classification has been moved to the back of the Cougar Card pending resolution of printing specifications.
