Comedic Legends John Cleese, Eric Idle Coming to UH

John Cleese ShowMonty Python founding members John Cleese and Eric Idle will be bringing their wit and humor to the University of Houston campus this fall.

The two living legends of comedy will perform their “Together Again at Last … For the Very First Time” show at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, in Cullen Performance Hall. Tickets go on sale 10 a.m. Sept. 23 and are available through Ticketmaster’s website or by phone at 800-745-3000.

The show will blend scripted and improvised bits with storytelling, musical numbers, exclusive footage and aquatic juggling to create a unique comedic experience.

As founding members of Monty Python, Cleese and Idle are arguably among the godfathers of modern comedy, helping to pioneer an irreverent, absurdist sensibility that is emulated by comics around the world. As individuals, they have written, performed and produced some of the most beloved and critically-acclaimed shows of all-time, like Spamalot, A Fish Called Wanda, Fawlty Towers and The Rutles.
