Just in time for football season, Barnes & Noble at UH has launched a new merchandise-only site where Cougar fans can get all the gear they need to display their school pride.

The website, uhtruefan.com, went live on Thursday, Sept. 1 and differs from the store’s other site that includes information on textbooks, faculty resources and other academic-related information.

“The purpose of uhtruefan.com is to give UH supporters a quick and easy way to buy University apparel, accessories, keepsakes and more,” said Felix Robinson, general manager of the store. “We’ve received feedback in the past from fans looking for a merchandise-only shopping option, so we’re hoping they enjoy this new resource.”  

It’s important to note that individuals such as faculty, staff and alumni who receive a discount at the on-campus Barnes and Noble locations will not be able to apply that incentive online; however, uhtruefan.com will be offering several online-only special discounts throughout the year, including a special during football season where all shoppers will receive 20 percent off one item every Monday after a home football game win. Instructions for each special promotion will be available on the website.

Shoppers who use the new site will have the option to have their orders shipped to the on-campus store, located in the Student Center, or they can opt to have them mailed directly to their homes.
