Second Late Night Food Truck Pad Opens on Campus

A new late night food truck location has opened near TDECU Stadium and the Cougar Place residential community.

The pad is located in the circle drive on the east side of TDECU Stadium. Hours are 11 p.m. to 3 a.m., Monday through Thursday. It is the second late night pad to serve the campus. The other is located near Cougar Village II adjacent to the Student Services Center building. Click here to see a campus food truck schedule.

During the fall semester, the Cougar Place Hall Council proposed a plan for a new late night pad that was presented to the Food Service Advisory Committee after being passed at the RHA General Assembly.

“We wanted a food truck location near Cougar Place for convenience and safety reasons,” said Brett Connors, senior resident advisor of Cougar Place. “Our proposal included pad location options as well as feedback from the current residents.”

UH Dining and Auxiliary Services worked closely with the UH Police Department and the Fire Marshal’s office to find an appropriate location to fit the trucks and provide the highest level of safety for students on campus.
