Themed Lunch at Dining Halls to Help Kick Off Football Season

The first of four themed meal menus planned at the two dining halls on campus will be held Thursday, Sept. 3, to celebrate the start of football season.

On that day during the lunch hours, which are from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., football fare will be served at the Fresh Food Co. at Moody Towers and Cougar Woods Dining Hall. The menu will focus on such favorites as hot dogs, hamburgers, popcorn and football-shaped cookies.

“We invite the entire UH community to come eat lunch in the dining halls that day to celebrate the start of another exciting Cougar football season,” said Emily Fahner, marketing manager for UH Dining Services.

The rest of the themed meal celebrations for the fall include:

  • Oct. 29: Fall Fright Night – A “spooktacular” dinner menu will be served at the Fresh Food Co. at Moody Towers
  • Nov. 19: Thanksgiving meal with all the traditional fixings. Time and location to be determined.
  • December: Winter holiday meal. Date and location to be determined.
