Houston, March 18, 2014 - Students, faculty and staff mourning the loss of the food truck pad outside of the University Center can now rejoice: A replacement location is up and operating.

Nestled in a narrow driveway outside of the Science Building along Entrance 14, the new site debuted Monday during the lunch hour under bright blue skies, mild temperatures and a slight breeze that provided a near perfect setting.

Its opening fills a void left when the main pad outside of the University Center was permanently closed due to construction. The new location will be known as Pad 1 and will complement Pad 2, which has continued to serve hungry students, faculty and staff behind Cemo Hall on the northeast side of campus.

View the full schedules for both pad locations to see which trucks will be serving where, as well as a map that shows where each pad is located and links to the menus for the food trucks. Both pads are open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
