KIN 3305: Sociological and Cultural Aspects of Sport
Cr. 3. (3-0). Prerequisites: junior standing, SOC 1300, and KIN 1252. Social and cultural issues relevant to health and human performance in exercise and sport environments.

KIN 3306: Physiology of Human Performance

KIN 3309: Biomechanics
Cr. 3. (3-0). Prerequisites: KIN 1252, 3304 and six hours of biology. Anatomy and mechanical principles in movement skills.

KIN 3325: Sports Therapy and Athletic Training
Cr. 3. (3-0). Prerequisite: KIN 3309. Introduction to athletic training, conditioning procedures, manual modalities, taping techniques.

KIN 3350: Psychological Aspects of Sports and Exercise

Cr. 1. (1-0). Prerequisites: admission to KIN: Sport Administration major, and senior standing; To be taken the semester before internship. Analysis of management, organizational structure, and strategic planning in sport organizations; current issues in sport management; career planning; internship placement.

KIN 4197:4397: Selected Topics in Health and Physical Education
Cr. 1 or 3 per semester. (1-0:3-0). Prerequisite: approval of department chair. May be repeated for credit when topics vary.

KIN 4315: Motor Learning and Control
Cr. 3. (3-0). Prerequisites: KIN 3306 and KIN 3309. Biomechanical neurophysiological and psychological elements of the motor learning and control processes.

KIN 4325: Advanced Athletic Training
Prerequisites: KIN 3309 and KIN 3325.Assessment of athletic injuries, use of modalities and rehabilitation applications.

KIN 4330: Child and Adolescent Obesity

Cr. 3. (3-0). Prerequisites: KIN 3301 and HLT 3381. Overview of the assessment, determinants, prevention, and treatment of child and adolescent obesity.

KIN 4340: Sport Governance
Cr. 3. (3-0). Prerequisites: junior standing and KIN 3360. Identifying governing bodies in amateur/professional sports, their organizational structure, authority, requirements for membership, sanctions and appeals, and the influence of outside political organizations.

KIN 4345: Sports, Health and Fitness Program Financing
Cr. 3. (3-0). Prerequisites: junior standing, ACCT 2331, ECON 2304, and KIN 3360 or nine hours of the KIN core. Funding strategies, techniques, budget development, and facility financing in sports, health, and fitness programs.

KIN 4350: Sport Marketing
Cr. 3. (3-0). Prerequisites: junior standing and KIN 3305, or MARK 3336. Application of marketing theory to the sports industry and the use of sport in promotion.

KIN 4355: Organization and Administration of Athletics
Cr. 3. (3-0). Prerequisites: junior standing and KIN 3360 or nine hours of KIN or Wellness-Fitness core. Practices in organization, administration, and supervision of physical education and athletic programs.

KIN 4365: Regulatory and Ethical Aspects of Sport
Cr. 3. (3-0). Prerequisites: junior standing and KIN 3305. Legal and moral considerations in sport and sport administration.

KIN 4370: Exercise Testing
Cr. 3. (3-0). Prerequisites: KIN 1252, 3306, and 4310. Laboratory and field testing procedures for use in exercise assessment and prescription.

KIN 4390:4391: Internship in Physical Education
Cr. 3 per course. (3-0). Prerequisites: junior standing, consent of instructor and department chair. Concurrent enrollment required. Intern placement in exercise and sport programs consistent with program focus.

KIN 4690: Internship in Sport Administration

Cr. 6. (0-6). Prerequisites: consent of Sport Administration internship coordinator and senior status. Supervised internship with community, interscholastic, intercollegiate, amateur, or professional sport industry organization. Supervised by a university faculty member with support from sport industry agency personnel.

KIN 4691: Internship in Sport Administration
