Office of Affirmative Action
WELCOME

Welcome to the Office of Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action (EEO/OAA).  Our office  is responsible for managing and coordinating University policies, procedures, and programs governing equal opportunity and affirmative action concerns—from employment to education. The Office of Affirmative Action handles complaints of discrimination and harassment based on race, color, sex, religion, national, or ethnic origin, citizenship, sexual orientation, age, marital status, disability, or status as a Vietnam veteran.

With regard to discrimination and harassment policies, individuals may contact the Office to inquire about their rights, request mediation or counseling, file a complaint, or seek information about the application of the policies to specific situations. Information and advice are offered to visitors and callers. The Office of Affirmative Action works in collaboration with other units of the University, when necessary, to seek a fair and effective resolution with due regard to confidentiality to all concerned. All employees, students, and applicants are protected from retaliation for filing a complaint or assisting in an investigation under the University's equal employment opportunity and affirmative action policies.
