The University of Houston Women's Resource Center will host nationally noted speaker, activist, educator and filmmaker Byron Hurt at 7 p.m., Thursday, April 16 at E. Cullen Performance Hall. The free event is open to the public.

Hurt will screen his film “Hip-Hop: Beyond Beats and Rhymes” as well as lead a discussion and take questions. The film is an examination of hip-hop on multiple fronts by a man who describes himself as a hip-hop head. For more information, visit http://www.uh.edu/wrc/.
