A memorial service for Kenneth Short, former professor at the University of Houston School of Communication, is scheduled for 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 22 at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, 2929 Woodland Hills Drive in Kingwood.

Short died at Denver Health Medical Center last month. He joined the UH faculty in 1987 and retired in May 2001.
