A new University of Houston commercial will premiere Saturday, Sept. 22 on CSTV during the televised UH vs. Colorado State University football game, which starts at 3:30 p.m. The commercial's theme is "excellence speaks for itself."

The commercial features three accomplished professional athletes and UH alumni — Clyde Drexler, Fred Couples and Carl Lewis. The spot also highlights Nobel Peace Laureate Jody Williams, visiting professor in the Graduate College of Social Work, Tony award winner and Distinguished Professor of Theater Stuart Ostrow and Paul Chu, T.L.L. Temple Foundation Chair of Science and professor of physics.

The commercial's format will allow the university to create easily a series of commercials over time, featuring additional faculty, athletes or program honors, according to Darcie Champagne, Office of University Marketing director.
