February 1, 2007 FACULTY AND STAFF RECEIVE RAISES The New Year brings good tidings to University of Houston faulty and staff as a salary increase takes effect this semester. Faculty salary increases will be reflected on paychecks Thursday, Feb 1. On that day, exempt staff also will see a two-percent salary increase, according to Joan Sigler, executive director of human resources. Nonexempt staff saw their two-percent increase for one week of their Jan. 19 pay check, and the Friday, Feb. 2 paycheck will include the two full weeks of the pay increase. The raises are part of UH’s $716.6 million budget approved by the UH System Board of Regents in August. Francine Parker |
