In a tough competition between University of Houston departments
and offices, Learning and Assessment Services took the top prize
in the second annual Spirit Bell Contest.
The competition challenged faculty and staff to decorate their
offices to show Cougar spirit during homecoming week. Students
judged offices based upon creativity, overall appearance and
school spirit. They also evaluated entries on how well offices
illustrated this year’s homecoming theme: Cougars Full
Throttle … Let the Good Times Roar!
Learning and Assessment Services won the contest for the second
consecutive year, beating the UH Health Center by one vote.
The winning office’s decorations included a cardboard
car with real rubber wheels and a fog machine for the exhaust.
The CampusCougars Alumni Association sponsored the contest.
Other participants were the Department of Chemistry, The Honors
College, the Department of Decision and Information Sciences
in the Bauer College of Business, University Career Services,
the Department of Campus Activities, and Campus Recreation and
Wellness Center.
