When the Houston Astros take on the Florida Marlins next month,
they’re counting on an extra boost of fan support from
the University of Houston System (UHS) – at discount ticket
prices.
The Astros are hosting UH System Night at Minute Maid Park
at 7:05 p.m. on Sept. 13. UHS faculty, staff, students and alumni
are invited to cheer on Houston’s pro baseball team as
it competes for a place in the National League’s wild
card race.
“This event reflects that the system is very much a family,”
said James Anderson, executive associate to the UHS chancellor.
“It also shows UHS’ connection with its various
constituencies in the Houston metropolitan area and surrounding
communities. Just as the system supports the civic efforts of
organizations such as the Houston Astros, we know that they
support the system in its educational and research initiatives.”
Special ticket pricing is available for this evening of baseball.
Prices for UHS students, faculty, staff members, alumni and
friends are as follows:
Field Boxes - $17.50
Bullpen Boxes - $11
Mezzanine - $7.50
