The upcoming Staff Appreciation Picnic will offer more than
just food, fun and music. It will feature a
high-tech fair, of sorts.
The University of Houston Division of Administration and Finance
will host People Advantage Self Service Awareness (PASS) Fair,
designed to help employees update personal information online.
The fair will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 18,
at Cullen Family Plaza.
“Employees have been empowered to handle personal transactions
online at their convenience in a secure and expeditious manner
through PASS,” said Karl Sparks, executive director of
human resources.
PASS enables faculty and staff to view and
change their address, telephone number and name/marital status.
Employees may also access benefits information, printable paycheck
stubs, compensation history and leave balances.
The Division of Administration and Finance's offices of payroll
and human resources and its customer service center and Human
Resources Management System project team launched PASS in April.
To access the online service, visit http://my.uh.edu/pass.
Faculty and staff must enter “Z” and then their
employee identification number, located on their paycheck stub
as their user identification. Their password will be their birth
date followed by the last four digits of their Social Security
number. Once employees log onto the system for the first time,
they will be prompted to change their password.
For those employees who do not have on-campus access to computers,
many computer stations are available on campus. These locations
are: Room 110 in the Graduate School of Social Work Building,
M.D. Anderson Library, rooms 325 and 346 of McElhinney Hall
and various locations within the University Center (UC) and
the UC Satellite. Transactional kiosks have also been ordered
to provide additional locations for employees to access the
PASS system across campus.
