KUHF-FM EXCEEDS GOAL IN SPRING
CAMPAIGN
KUHF-88.7FM
Houston Public Radio raised $668,484 during its eight-day spring
fund-raising campaign, exceeding its $650,000 goal.
“All of us at Houston Public Radio are grateful
for the individual and corporate donors who gave so generously of
their resources,” said John Proffitt, general manager and
chief executive officer. “Their support is a clear vote of
confidence in the mission of Houston Public Radio to provide thoughtful,
in-depth news and features and great classical music as a public
service to greater Houston.”
More than 90 percent of Houston Public Radio’s
annual revenue comes from the local community. The remaining comes
from a federal community service grant, miscellaneous services and
interest on the station’s fund balance. KUHF-FM receives no
direct funding from either the state of Texas or the University
of Houston.
