Over the years, Houston’s artists and arts organizations have enchanted local audiences, toured the world, performed for royalty and premiered on Broadway; however, they seem to have vanished from local television.

Now, KUHT-TV, Channel 8 is correcting that trend with “The After Party,” a new talk show focusing on Houston’s performing arts and artists. Ernie Manouse hosts the show, on which his guests talk about what’s new in the theater district and share their best dinner party stories. The show will air at 11 p.m. Wednesdays, starting Jan. 26.
