UH's Speech & Theatre Camps for Grades 3-8 Students

University of Houston Forensics (UH Forensics) has been hosting speech camps for students in grades 8-12 for a total of nine years. However, upon strict examination of the state of forensics in 2008, UH Forensics made a bold decision to reach down toward the very foundation of learning and created opportunities for elementary school students.

At the six one-week sessions of The UH Speech & Theatre Camp, members of the UH Forensic Society educate our youth in areas of speech, debate, and theatre. Students will learn skills such as, impromptu speaking, vocal variety, characterization, creation of speech introductions, etc.

UH Forensic Society members also teach debate concepts including resolution analysis, parliamentary debate tactics, and other subject areas.

While learning how to develop their performances, the students are creating performances that will be showcased at the end of each week to show their parents and peers how much they’ve learned.

Please give your student the opportunity to develop skills that will last a lifetime. Come and join our camp!

  • June 17-21 – Middle School
