October 10, 2013 – Tier One Scholars joined 130 undergraduates who presented their research at the annual UH Undergraduate Research Day. Tier One Scholars Stacy Nguy and Cara Riffe were among those who received Outstanding Poster Awards. Six of the eight Tier One Scholar presenters were also recipients of the Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship. September 30, 2013-Houston : University of Houston President Renu Khator and her husband, Suresh, associate dean in the UH Cullen College of Engineering, have contributed more than $100,000 to establish the Renu and Suresh Khator UH Tier One Scholarship Endowment.
