As Director of the Office of International Studies and Programs, Mrs. Parul Fernandes is responsible for all Study Abroad Programs, such as the Affiliated Study Abroad Program, the Reciprocal Educational Exchange Program and the Faculty-Led Program. In addition, she administers the International Fee Scholarship, Houston Junior Chamber Scholarship and provides information on other available scholarships for study abroad. She is responsible for developing the campus infrastructure and course approval for Study Abroad and assist colleges on further development of Study Abroad Programs. She directs the departmental operations and budgets and is responsible for strategic planning, policies and procedures and supervision of departmental staff.

Additionally she has oversight of the International Contracts and Grants and collaborates with colleges and departments to maintain and sustain various relations with international and national institutions. She describes herself as a “World-Citizen”.
