Professor of Biology and Biochemistry George Fox was named as the recipient of the Sigma Xi Faculty Research Award during an award ceremony and reception that concluded the 2005 Sigma Xi poster competition April 8, 2005.  The prize is awarded annually to a UH faculty member who is recognized as a significant contributor to the advancement of knowledge in his or her scientific field.  The award in 2006 will carry a $2500 prize and the winner will deliver a lecture in Fall 2006.  Pictured here are Sigma Xi president Dan Wells (Left), also a professor of biology and biochemistry, and Dr. Fox (Right).
