FAQS:
1. What do I do if I already have a prepaid UPS label for a UPS ground package? Where will UPS pick up my package.
Answer: UPS will only pick up ground packages from a UPS account with ground pickup. Research Stores has a UPS ground pickup account. You can bring the package to 202 Old Science and it will be picked up by UPS in the late afternoon or you can give it to one of the Research Stores delivery persons when they deliver to your office or lab.
2. Does Research Stores charge to send out UPS packages?
Answer: Research Stores only charges a small fee ($2.50) to process and send out UPS packages. This fee covers the cost of having a UPS ground account and for the employees who handle, process and bill your Department for your package (Research Stores is self-supporting - receiving no salary subsidies from the University).
3. Do I have to pay the $2.50 handling fee if I have a prepaid label.
Answer: No, you do not have to pay. We do not have to process or bill for your package.
4. When does UPS pick up from Research Stores?
Answer: UPS does not pick up at a specified time. Pick up is between 2 and 4 pm. If you want to make sure your package goes out the same day then you should have your package taken to 202 Old Science no later than 2 pm.
