The University of Houston is committed to advancing its status as a competitive Tier One public research university. UH is designated as an Innovation and Economic Prosperity University and we have the infrastructure needed to support future success.
The Office of the Vice Chancellor/Vice President for Research and Technology Transfer provides support and strategy to the research enterprise across campus. Specific subsidiary offices specialize in helping to administer and manage grants; overseeing compliance with federal, state and university regulations; managing patents, copyrights and trademarks, and working with faculty to file patents for inventions; helping to bring UH discoveries to the marketplace; and encouraging productive relationships with funding agencies, charitable foundations and private industry.
From preparing proposals to managing a grant or contract to translating research into reality, faculty can find the research resources they need for each step of the process.
