Description:

The Department of Hispanic Studies at the University of Houston invites applications from candidates at the Associate/Full Professor rank to the Chair position.

Scholarly area of specialization is open (Latin American, Linguistics, Peninsular or US Latino Studies).

We encourage candidates with a strong publication record as well as with extensive administrative/leadership experience. The DHS welcomes candidates prepared to lead our department as the University of Houston seeks Tier One University status.

The DHS offers M.A. and Ph.D. degrees and is one of the leading graduate programs in the field of US Hispanic literature, language and culture.
