Clinical Assistant Professor - Community Care or Ambulatory Care Specialty - Non-tenure-track
The University of Houston College of Pharmacy invites qualified applicants to apply for a full-time faculty position at the rank of clinical assistant professor in the department of Clinical Sciences and Administration. The area of practice must be in community or ambulatory care.
This position is being fully funded by the University of Houston College of Pharmacy and the practice site is at the University of Houston Health Care Center located on the Main Campus of the University. This center is a state of the art medical facility that offers urgent care services and a walk in clinic for general services to students, faculty and staff of UH. The pharmacy is an integral part of the health care team and the pharmacists provide medication management and help promote optimum patient outcomes.
The successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain an active pharmaceutical care patient service in the practice area, collaborate with the department of pharmacy to enhance the mission within the institution, be actively involved in teaching UH doctoral students and engage in an active scholarship program.
The candidates should possess a Pharm.D. degree and have completed post-doctoral residency training or have equivalent experience. Applicants must be eligible for Texas licensure.
Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
