Instructional Assistant Professor - Non-Tenure Track

Description:

The Department of Information and Logistics Technology at the University of Houston invites applications for a non-tenure track instructional faculty position at the rank of Instructional Assistant Professor teaching in the area of graphic communications and digital media beginning Fall 2008.

Requirements:

Applicants should have demonstrative knowledge, skills, practices, and experience in graphic communications, including pixel-based and vector graphics, printing and publishing technologies, and web design and development. Preferred candidates will have an earned Ph.D. in a graphics or digital media related field; Masters degree candidates will be considered. The successful candidate is expected to provide expertise in undergraduate teaching and service within the business and academic community.

  1. current vita;
  2. three references;
  3. the applicant's philosophy regarding the role of a faculty member with regard to teaching and service;
    and
  4. evidence of teaching and service activities and/experiences, such as student evaluation of faculty performance, teaching portfolio, college or university service activities, and/or public and business service activities.
