The Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management has an opening for a newly created position for an assistant/associate professor. The University of Houston is a major, public, comprehensive research university situated in the fourth largest city in the United States. The College is a leading hospitality and tourism program in the world. It is located in a world-class facility which contains extensive laboratory facilities, library, convention center and a hotel. We are currently in the process of adding a PHD program.
Tourism - Assistant/Associate Professor - The successful candidate must be able to conduct focused, pragmatic, theory based research, and have a strong statistical and methodological background with an ability to publish in top-tier journals. Grantmanship experience and a willingness to work with the tourism industry is a plus. A preference will be given to those with a economics, financial, marketing or statistical background. You must be able to demonstrate an ability to publish in top-tier research journals in your field.
A candidate should identify their research and teaching areas in a letter of interest, curriculum vitae, and a copy or a recent publication, if available.
