Assistant or Associate Professor - Counseling Psychology - Tenure Track

Description:

The Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Houston invites applications for a tenure track position at the assistant or associate rank in its APA accredited Counseling Psychology program.

The successful applicant will be a Counseling Psychologist from an APA accredited doctoral program who is license eligible in Texas.

Preferred qualifications include: (a) an active line of thematic research; (b) ability to supervise doctoral research; (c) willingness to teach graduate and undergraduate courses; and (d) participation in service and professional development activities.

Applicants seeking appointment at the rank of Associate must have a record of securing funding for their research. Although the specific area of expertise is open, those with a research agenda/teaching interests related to personality assessment; childhood/adolescence; family relations; diversity/multiculturalism are especially encouraged to apply.

The Department of Educational Psychology currently offers: Ph.D. programs in Counseling Psychology, Educational Psychology & Individual Differences, and School Psychology; an EdD. program in Higher Education; M.Ed. programs in Counseling, Educational Psychology, and Special Education; and undergraduate programs in Human Development and Family Studies, and Special Education.

  5. three letters of recommendation and
  6. up to three representative publications
