The C. T. Bauer College of Business invites applications for a tenure-track or tenured faculty position in Supply Chain Management beginning Fall 2010.
The search is open to rank, however, applicants currently at the Associate Professor or higher level will be given preference. The possibility of an endowed professorship position exists for candidates judged to possess exceptional qualifications and a demonstrated record of leadership.
Candidates must have an earned Ph.D. in Business Administration or closely related field with a major in Operations Management/Supply Chain Management and have a proven research and a quality teaching record.
The selected candidate will be expected to
- conduct research to obtain publications in top-tier and highly regarded journals,
- play a leadership role in the mentoring and development of Ph.D. students and
- teach courses in Supply Chain Management.

The Department of Decision and Information Sciences within the Bauer College of Business is composed of supply chain management, information systems, and statistics and operations research faculty members, three of whom hold endowed positions. The Supply Chain Management faculty is closely connected to the vibrant Houston business community. Melcher Hall and Cemo Hall, homes of the Bauer College, both house an abundance of large and small tiered classrooms each of which is equipped with multimedia command consoles networked to the College's computer systems.
