The Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture at the University of Houston is a design school focused on the process of making. The recently completed Burdette Keeland Design Exploration Center and UH Green Building Components initiative extends this tradition in our architecture, industrial design, and new interior architecture programs. The city of Houston offers a unique urban environment in which to explore design practices at varying scales.
A full-time, tenure-track studio teaching position is open for applications from qualified designers.
Candidates should be qualified to teach upper level design studios, conduct lecture or seminar courses, and have an interest in Interior architecture. Candidates must have a master's degree in architecture or interior architecture, professional design experience, and a history of competitive design awards and/or publications. Previous teaching experience and licensure is preferred.
The College of Architecture recognizes design practice as a valid form of scholarship.
