Assistant or Associate Professor - High Performance Building and Sustainable Design - Tenure-Track
Description:
The Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture, University of Houston invites applications for a full-time, tenure- track studio teaching position with an emphasis on high performance building and/or sustainable design at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor.
The successful candidate will contribute in defining the direction for the integration of sustainable design throughout undergraduate and graduate design studios. The candidate shall pursue creative scholarship through teaching, practice, and/or research.
The candidate should be qualified to teach upper level design studios, integrate high performance and sustainable design principles into design curricula, conduct lecture or seminar courses, and promote sustainable strategies as responsible design. Candidates must have a masters degree in architecture. Professional experience, history of competitive design awards and publications, previous teaching experience, and/or professional licensure is preferred.
Salary:
Rank and salary offered will be appropriate to qualifications.
