Adopt-a-Spot

Adopt-A-Spot is a year-round University partnership program designed to encourage stewardship of the campus physical environment as students, student organizations, staff and faculty select a location and then commit to “adopt” it. Volunteer participants can help clean up litter, remove trash, weed, rake, and plant flowerbeds, remove outdated flyers, etc.

What Do You Have To Do?

  1. Commit to adopt a spot for a minimum of a year.
  2. Select a location.
  3. Submit your location for approval.
  4. Get trained.
  5. Get started!

Facilities Management will work with each group or individual to make sure the selected location is available for adopting.  For additional information and questions, please contact Michael Burriello, Adopt-A-Spot program manager, mlburrie@central.uh.edu, 713-743-4562 or Jacquie Vargas, jmvarga5@central.uh.edu, 832-842-4861.
