Week-Long Street Closure Between Cemo Hall and MREB Site

Saturday, May 16 thru Saturday, May 23

Houston, May 7, 2015 –A portion of the street between Cemo Hall and the Multidisciplinary Research and Engineering Building construction site will be closed from Saturday, May 16, to Saturday, May 23.

The closure is necessary as a result of sewer and electrical work that must be done for the new building. To complete the labor, workers will need uninterrupted access to a manhole that is within the roadway.

As a result of the closure, those who normally park in lot 19F will be unable to park in their usual spaces; however, Parking and Transportation Services has designated a section of parking lot 18A that will solely be used for those who are being displaced.

Traffic Impact

“This work is imperative to ensure we stay on track with this project,” said MREB Project Manager Kelly Buehler. “We appreciate the patience and cooperation of the campus community.”
