Curb Work Planned for Portions of Cullen Boulevard

curb-workCurb and median work will take place starting Monday, Nov. 17, along certain portions of Cullen Boulevard on the University of Houston campus.

Workers will create an extension of the median on the south side of the intersection with Entrance 14 by lengthening an already existing barrier curb. This will remove the northbound left-turn lane that is no longer needed at that intersection.

Further south at the intersection with Cougar Place, a barrier curb separating the southbound left-turn lane will be removed and replaced with white striping.

Motorists should drive with caution when workers are in the area. The work is expected to be completed in two days and is being undertaken by the city of Houston, which spent this past summer improving Cullen from Elgin to Wheeler by replacing sections of concrete on both the northbound and southbound lanes.
