Part of the intersection of Cullen Boulevard at Cougar Place Drive will be closed this weekend to vehicular traffic.

The east side of the intersection will be closed starting at noon on Saturday so workers can pour a new section of concrete. It will re-open by 10 a.m. Sunday.

During that time period, vehicles on Cullen Boulevard will not be able to turn east and head toward the A.D. Bruce Religion Center on the Campus Loop Road.

The west side of the intersection near the Cougar Place residential community and TDECU Stadium will not be impacted.

The road improvement project, which is being undertaken by the city of Houston, involves replacing sections of concrete from Elgin to Wheeler on both the southbound and northbound lanes. It began in May and is slated to be completed by mid-August.
