The existing faculty and staff parking garage at University of Houston- Downtown has been demolished to make way for the new Girard Street building.

The Girard Street building will contain a Welcome Center, four parking garage levels, and shell space for future build-out. The Welcome Center floor above the garage levels will align with the third floors of the One Main and Academic buildings allowing for a smooth transition between all three buildings.

Construction is scheduled to begin by early November with project completion scheduled for fall 2014.
