University Center Circle To Close Throughout Summer

Beginning Monday, May 13, and lasting through Friday, Aug. 9, the University Center transformation project will expand the existing work site to include two additional areas to accommodate construction.

The UC circle – encompassing the drop-off loop, island and sidewalks leading up to the existing main entrance on both sides of the circle – will be fenced in and closed to the public from May 13 through Aug. 9. Additionally, a 60-square-foot area at the southwest corner of the UC will be enclosed for construction activities.

The work will not impact the operation of food trucks. However, the adjacent southwest ramp entrance to UC will be closed May 15-17. During that time, access to all of the UC will be through the northwest ramp by the west loading dock only.

Throughout the closure, access to UC activities and services from University Drive will be available via protected walkways connected to the southwest ramp, as indicated in the maps below.  When the work is completed, access to the UC will be through a new protected south entrance and the southwest ramp will be closed to allow other construction activity to continue in that area.

Please refer to the maps below for affected areas.
