Welcome Center Garage Repair Work Scheduled To Begin April 4

Starting Thursday, April 4, repairs will begin to the masonry located at the east and west façades of the Welcome Center Parking Garage.

The work will be limited to the area immediately adjacent to the building expansion joint, which is approximately 145 feet from the south end of the building.

The contractor will begin working at the fifth floor level, displacing no more than four or five parking spaces per level to stage scaffolding as they work their way down through the building. The patio area immediately below the scaffolding will be blocked off for safety purposes, but will not prohibit pedestrian movement. Upon completion of the east façade, the same activity will begin on the west facade.
