A section of sidewalk at the south side of the Cougar Village II construction site along Wheeler Loop Road has been temporarily closed to pedestrian traffic between Entrance 5 and 6 since Monday, Dec. 17.

The sidewalk is being excavated to connect underground public utilities to Cougar Village II. The affected area has been fenced off for the duration of the work. Due to weather conditions and construction permitting delay, the sidewalk closure has been extended until Monday, Feb. 18.

The fencing causes a temporary pedestrian detour north toward campus, around the CV II construction site. Vehicular traffic along the Loop Road or Wheeler should not be affected.

Pedestrian detour signs are posted, and contractor flagmen are present. Please see the drawing below for affected areas.
