Cougar 100 Luncheon Recognizing Alumni-Owned Businesses on the Move

Fastest-Growing Alumni-Owned or Led Businesses Recognized During Oct. 27 Event

The University of Houston’s second annual Cougar 100 Luncheon will take place at 11:30 a.m., Oct. 27 at the Bayou City Event Center to honor the 100 fastest-growing businesses owned or led by UH alumni. The ranking of the 2015 Cougar 100 will be announced during the event, and UH President Renu Khator also will make welcoming remarks. This year’s keynote speaker will be Rushion McDonald (’83), a recipient of the 2015 UH Alumni Association’s Distinguished Alumni Award. McDonald is the executive producer of the “Steve Harvey Talk Show” and consulting producer of “Family Feud.”

The Cougar 100 is a UH tradition conceived and produced by the University of Houston Alumni Association that identifies, recognizes and celebrates the world's fastest growing UH Cougar-owned and Cougar-led businesses. To qualify, businesses must be owned or operated by a UH alumnus or alumna and must submit financial materials and an application to support their standing. These Cougar-owned or led businesses are making a true difference in a diverse array of industries and communities, and show the value of a UH education in the workforce. All winners will be featured prominently in the Houston Business Journal.

Event sponsors include Pannell Kerr Forster of Texas, P.C., TDECU Credit Union, Bayou City Event Center and Houston Business Journal.

Tickets to the luncheon are $40 for individuals, or $280 for a table of eight people. Registration may be completed at houstonalumni.com/cougar100luncheon.
