Mark Finley, general manager for global energy markets and U.S. economics at BP, will discuss the global energy giant’s 2014 Statistical Review of World Energy at the University of Houston on June 24.
Finley will speak at 4:30 p.m., sponsored by UH Energy. The review provides a global overview of energy production, consumption, trade, reserves and prices, offering insights into where oil production increased, where it decreased and how energy use changed during the year.
The event is co-sponsored by the Bauer College of Business and the Cullen College of Engineering.
Finley, who has more than 25 years of experience as an energy economist, joined BP’s economics team in 2001 and was a 2013 Senior Fellow of the U.S. Association for Energy Economics. He is a former chairman of the American Petroleum Institute’s Committee on Economics and Statistics.
