"The H1N1 Flu Summit II: A Follow Up" will be held from 1:15-3:45 p.m., Friday, Oct. 30 at the UHLC's room 109 of the Bates Law Building. The event is open to practicing attorneys.
The UHLC presented a Flu Summit last year when interest in the H1N1 virus became elevated.
Panelists will explore four areas: special issues affecting employers, liability concerns for pharmacies, access to hospital care and aspects of the federal health emergency PREP Act (for reference, visit http://www.hhs.gov/disasters/emergency/manmadedisasters/bioterorism/medication-vaccine-qa.html).
Speakers include:
- Patricia Gray, director of research for the Health Law & Policy Institute and former Texas legislator
- Cynthia Marietta, research professor for health law
- Craig Conway, research professor for health law
- Gary Cacciatore, adjunct professor for Food and Drug Law
