Houston Corps of Cadets Awards Ceremony, Parade Set for April 4

The second annual Houston Corps of Cadets Joint Awards Ceremony and Parade that features Air Force and Navy ROTC will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 4 at Rice University's Founder's Court.

Awards will be given to those cadets exemplifying top performance in their respective ROTC units. Scholarships will also be presented.  Concluding the ceremony, a pass-and-review parade will initiate as the cadets march parade style to pay respects to the leading officers of each ROTC unit.

The Houston Corps of Cadets, created in September 2007, is the official association of Air Force, Army and Navy/Marine ROTC programs in the Houston metro area.  With about 300 cadets and midshipmen, the Houston Corps is already the second-largest Corps in the Gulf Coast region.

Invitations are extended to the families and friends of the respective cadets, UH and Rice faculty and staff, and the general public.
